Bio

Aliza Ayaz is the world's youngest United Nations Goodwill Ambassador.

Ayaz jointly received the Outstanding Commitment to Sustainability in 2019 for her contributions to sustainability by the UK Parliament. Whilst at UCL, Aliza founded and later became the Executive Chair of CAS - Climate Action Society. Under her leadership, CAS partnered with the United Nations to become the first student society to lobby parliament, leading to the climate emergency declaration at the UK Parliament.

Aliza Ayaz heads a series of London-based campaigns and UCL’s annual "Sustainability Symposium" with youth to push for climate resilience. Featured on BBC and CNN, she has been commended for facilitating diversity and inclusion in the fight against climate change by organising BAME-focused networking dinners and conferences.

Ayaz is an international climate activist of Middle Eastern origin. She is still just a full-time student at University College London, juggling academia and work hand in hand.
